Summer Bite Heats Up on the Chehalis River
Chehalis River - Grays Harbor, WA
Fishing on the Chehalis River is picking up with warmer summer weather. Anglers are seeing action with smallmouth bass, cutthroat trout, and the occasional steelhead. Early mornings and late evenings have been the most productive, especially around shaded banks and slower-moving stretches of the river.
Bass are hitting on soft plastics and crankbaits near structure, while trout are responding to spinners and small spoons. Water levels are stable, and clarity is good. Expect more consistent bites as we move deeper into summer.
